as a claims professional while working as a loss control specialist for a long-shore transportation company in Baltimore,
Maryland. During his 5 year tenure he investigated workers compensation claims generated by company vehicle operators
and docks workers. John also served as company liaison to the insurer, Hartford Insurance Group. As John was about
to enter his 6th year with the tansportation company he was offered a position as a workers compensation claims adjuster with
the American International Insurance Group (AIG). John was well groomed for this position and for the next 5 years John
handled workers compensation lost time claims for the state acts of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia; including United States
Harbor Workers, Longshore, and Jones Act claims (USL&H). John was promoted to a senior workers compensation claims
examiner and held that position for the next 10 years handling general liability, property, casualty, subrogation, and litigation
claims. John's passion was investigating claims involving theft, fraud, and suspicious fires. John was promoted
a second time to head up the special Investigation unit-East Coast (SIU) covering claims from New York to Florida. John
lead a team of 5 investigators that were all former claims adjusters. The SIU team was responsible for over 100 fraud
prosecutions amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars in the prevention of lost premiums. The Lacher Investigation Agency is in the same office with The Lowther Law
